NEW Jme range from Jamie Oliver

It’s Jamie Olivers dream to one day live in Italy, we all know he is passionate about Italian food, (he does own a number of Italian restaraunts). In his cook book, ‘Jamies Italy’, he makes it abundantly clear that in order to create good Italian food, you need good ingredients. http://www.jamieoliver.com/jme/food.html. Using, Jamie Oliver -  ‘jamie’s italy’ cookbook, (available www.jamieoliver.com or much cheaper on amazon).

It’s with this in mind that he has created a new range of products based on Italian flavours, and it’s no great secret that Jamie has drawn great inspiration from the regions of Italy,this shines through in this NEW Jme range - created specifically for independent speciality food retailers, but also available here;

I set out to make some uncomplicated pizzas.
I made the ‘tomato sauce’ as described, but using olive oil infused with basil, and also adding a little ‘sundried tomato paste’ to the sauce. I topped off the pizza with dolcelatti, ‘mixed olives in chilli’ and torn basil leaves, really good!  It’s absolutely true - quality ingredients produce good food.
The new Jme range includes:
 -tuscan extra virgin olive oil - Delicate, light and with a hint of pepper
-balsamic vinegar, ampolla - >From Modena, the Italian home of true balsamics
These two ‘best of friends’ are available as – power dressing – a gorgeous gift in the pic attached
A range of three infused oilve oils – including Chilli, basil and olive oil – available in a set as ‘three measures of pleasure’
sundried tomato paste - Sweet, tangy sundried tomatoes, finely chopped with extra virgin olive oil from Italy’s ancient olive groves
artichoke paste - A velvety puree of delicate Ligurian artichokes and extra virgin olive oil. Traditionally spread on crostini or bread
olive paste - Taggiasca olives from the lush coastal valleys of Liguria
Mixed olives in chilli extra virgin olive oil with garlic and black pepper
 As Jamie says -
“I should have been Italian. There is such diversity in lifestyles, cooking, traditions and dialects. This is why as a chef I find this country so exciting and what inspired me to create Jamie’s Italian.”
